Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the Xcademia X-Ray platform at xcademiaxray.com (the "Platform"). This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with this AUP.
1. Purpose
Xcademia X-Ray is a capability intelligence platform designed to provide genuine, practitioner-validated skills assessments. The integrity of our assessments is fundamental to the value we deliver to individuals, employers, and organisations. This AUP exists to protect that integrity and to ensure a fair and safe experience for all users.
2. Assessment Integrity
The following actions are strictly prohibited during any assessment on the Platform:
2.1 Cheating and Fraud
Having another person complete the assessment on your behalf
Using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or any other AI assistant) to generate or assist with assessment responses
Copying answers from external sources during timed assessments
Using browser extensions, scripts, or automation tools to manipulate the assessment process
Screen sharing your assessment with another person for the purpose of receiving assistance
Recording assessment questions for redistribution or sale
2.2 Account Manipulation
Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials
Using disposable, temporary, or alias email addresses to circumvent trial restrictions
Sharing your account credentials with any other person
Transferring your account to another person
Providing false or misleading information during registration or assessment (including fabricated CV data)
2.3 Technical Manipulation
Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Platform or its algorithms
Using automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Platform or extract data
Attempting to access other users' accounts, data, or assessment results
Exploiting vulnerabilities, bugs, or errors in the Platform (please report these to info@xcademia.com)
Interfering with or disrupting the Platform's infrastructure, servers, or networks
Bypassing or attempting to bypass rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions
Injecting malicious code, malware, or scripts into the Platform
3. Content Standards
When submitting content to the Platform (including CV uploads, assessment responses, and spoken responses), you must not include:
Content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, threatening, or discriminatory
Content that infringes any third party's intellectual property rights
Content that contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code
Deliberately misleading or fabricated professional credentials, qualifications, or employment history
Personal data of third parties without their consent
4. Credential Integrity
If you earn the X-Ray Certified credential:
You may display and share your credential for professional purposes
You may not alter, modify, or misrepresent the credential or its meaning
You may not claim that X-Ray Certified is a government, professional body, or industry certification (it is issued by Xcademia and evidences completion of a capability diagnostic, not formal qualification)
You may not use the credential in a way that implies endorsement by Xcademia of your overall professional competence beyond the scope of the assessment taken
5. Enterprise and Team Use
If you access the Platform as part of an enterprise or team subscription:
You must complete assessments yourself; your employer or administrator may not complete them on your behalf
You must not share assessment content, questions, or methodologies with colleagues who have not yet completed their assessment
Administrators must not use the Platform to discriminate against employees or make employment decisions solely based on assessment results without appropriate human judgement
6. Fair Use
Individual Pro accounts are intended for personal professional development. The following uses exceed fair use:
Running assessments on behalf of other people
Using the Platform as a recruitment screening tool without an enterprise subscription
Systematically collecting assessment data for research without our written permission
Reselling or redistributing assessment reports or Platform outputs
7. Monitoring and Detection
To protect assessment integrity, the Platform may employ the following measures:
Detection of unusual assessment completion patterns or timing anomalies
Device fingerprinting and IP address analysis to identify multiple accounts or shared usage
Monitoring for automated or scripted interactions
Analysis of response patterns for indicators of AI-generated content
These measures are designed to detect and prevent misuse. They are not used for covert behavioural monitoring beyond what is necessary to maintain assessment integrity. Details of monitoring measures are described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Consequences of Violation
If we determine that you have violated this AUP, we may take one or more of the following actions at our sole discretion:
Issue a warning
Invalidate your assessment results and diagnostic report
Revoke any X-Ray Certified credentials issued to you
Suspend or permanently terminate your account
Refuse to issue a refund for any pre-paid subscription fees
Report the matter to relevant authorities if we believe a criminal offence has been committed
We will endeavour to notify you before taking action and provide an opportunity to respond, except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Platform, other users, or the integrity of the assessment process.
9. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, or if you discover a security vulnerability in the Platform, please report it to us immediately:

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. We will not retaliate against anyone who reports a genuine concern in good faith.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be notified to you by email or by posting a notice on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of the revised AUP constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
